Factors that affect the timing of the event

The Estate Sale typically lasts 2 days, with larger sales lasting a third day. These sales are usually held over the weekend, to attract the most amount of people with the most amount of disposable income, which will be a higher paying audience overall. While the estate sale itself is conducted in 2 or 3 days, the entire process could take as long as 30 days. Some of the factors that can extend the time that it takes to complete a home liquidation are listed below.

Any of these factors could extend how long it may take for the entire process to be completed. Estate sales are almost always held on weekends, and most good estate liquidators will be booked often several weeks out.

2 Day Estate Sale

Day 1 - Sale begins - All prices firm. Item pricing set for items in the home - bids accepted and called on following day if item not sold in previous or final day of liquidation.

Day 2 - Final day - bids accepted - end of sale

3 Day Estate Sale

Day 1 - Sale begins - All prices firm. Item pricing set for items in the home - bids accepted and called on third day if item not sold in first two days of liquidation.

Day 2 - Sale continues with bids accepted the next day. Some discounts may apply.

Day 3 - Final day - Discount necessary items - bids accepted - end of sale
